Connelly Signs Taxpayer Protection Pledge and Promises to Oppose All Tax Increases in Congress
(Newberry, SC) Republican candidate for South Carolina’s 5th Congressional District Chad Connelly today signed the Americans for Tax Reform “Taxpayer Protection Pledge” to oppose all tax increases if elected to Congress.
Connelly said, “Washington is broken. As a businessman, I have seen firsthand that overly burdensome taxes and regulations have strained hardworking families and small businesses. I will oppose any tax increases before Congress. It’s past time to lower taxes, cut spending, and get government out of the way.”
In signing the Taxpayer Protection Pledge, Connelly is making a promise to all 5th Congressional District constituents to oppose all tax increases in Congress. Former 5th District Congressman Mick Mulvaney also signed the pledge when he campaigned for this seat in 2010.
Chad Connelly recently signed the term limit pledge, limiting Congressmen to 6 terms in the House and Senators to 2 terms in the Senate. A veteran and business owner, Connelly promises to shake up Washington and restore conservative values.
