Meadows Wants More Conservative Leaders Like Chad Connelly
(NEWBERRY, SC) – The Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus Mark Meadows today endorsed Chad Connelly for Congress, adding to a growing coalition of conservative leaders backing his campaign for the 5th Congressional District.
Chairman of the Freedom Caucus, Rep. Mark Meadows said, “In Congress, we need more conservative leaders like Chad Connelly who will work with our coalition for limited government, lower taxes, and a true repeal of Obamacare.”
“Chad Connelly, like former Congressman and Freedom Caucus member Mick Mulvaney, has shown that he is not afraid to stand up to leaders in both parties to advance conservative principles and stand for the constitution,” said Meadows.
Connelly said, “I’m proud to earn support from such a solid group of conservatives who work to defend the Constitution and fight for limited government each and every day in Washington.”
The House Freedom Caucus is made up of more than 30 Republican Congressmen in the U.S. House of Representatives, famous for holding the line for the most conservative values, even when that means standing up against party leadership. Former 5th District Congressman Mick Mulvaney was a founding member of the House Freedom Caucus. Recently, Conservative SC Congressman Jeff Duncan, another Freedom Caucus member, endorsed Connelly for Congress.
